As the nation commemorates the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, learn how one community bank uses the occasion to honor military personnel, veterans and first responders. Through its Step Forward campaign, which runs between Sept. 11 and Veterans Day on Nov. 11, Mars Bank compiles stories of local service members, veterans, policy, fire and emergency personnel to "promote the good and the activity that these individuals provide to us on a regular basis," says Jim Dionise, president and CEO of Mars Bank, which is based in Mars, Pa.
